War is the Racket
These days it’s war and more war. And why? Digging down to the core reasons, it’s always the same answer: More war means more huge profits for the billionaire-owned mega-corporations.
It can't get much clearer than it is on the chart above, for the energy giant BP.
Russia-Ukraine war starts → big profit spike.
U.S.-Israel-Iran war starts → big profit spike.
Of course this is just one of many examples of how the billionaires profit from our war economy. They keep their evil grift going with big money “contributions” into our government and politics — aka legalized bribery. It needs to be called out for what it is: Corruption.
So, what to do about it? Start here: Demand peace.
From Eleven Demands for Real Democracy:
4. End the wars
End support of all governments that engage in settler colonialism and genocide
Cut the military budget by at least 20% every year
Disband NATO and reform imperialist foreign policies
End sales of military weapons by U.S. companies
Replace military jobs with federal/green jobs
Repeal the USA Patriot Act, the Espionage Act of 1917, the AUMF of 2001, and similar laws
All of our current problems have solutions; MC/DS provides a framework. We all have a role to play. It’s up to us to come together behind clear demands, call out the corruption, and bring on a better world.

I would also add to the 11 Demands about ending war, Repealing the National Security Act executive order by Truman. That executive order alone, created the National Security State aka the Deep State that formed a shadow gov't of unelected officials who act as the intelligence and enforcement arm of wall street and old money that was responsible for the death of both Kennedys, MLK, Malcolm X and have been behind the starting of every terrible war the US has waged since 1963. That executive order is responsible for more terror and strife and poverty and covert overthrowings of governments by the US. One might argue that the Patriot Act was an extension of the NSAct of 1947 and gave them even more power. Both should be eliminated if we want a free, just and peaceful world.
